  1. You can hack an x-box 360 scanner to scan the outside of your self and then pull it to Meshmixer and order a 3-d full color print of your self, there are instructions online. the problem for me is the cost, otherwise I'd have 12 ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. If you 3D scan a person, you have the obvious choice of with clothes or without.
Do you think that airports should use this technology to see what's in your luggage?

  7. I'm sure they these kinds of scans will evolve into tools to see inside of buildings for emergency situations from fires to earthquakes and crimes. Having a preview of where everything is by scanning through it would be rather amazing, and the uses for 3D scanning and wall penetration scans will be something that changes our future. Structures can be analyzed for deficiencies, instabilities, and anywhere that needs patchwork or a complete overhaul.

  8. I can 3D-scan using David Laserscanner, a projector and a webcam. Try it, it's amazing. Now I only need a 3D-printer…

  9. An 18+ year commitment of a growing human being that could help or hinder your domestic life based on randomized chances of getting a resourceful genius or one of very low intelligence with or without debilitating medical disorders where some might call a it a "miracle baby" but is in fact lifetime burden?

  10. You can 3d scan a human fetus here in Australia too. Its not something that is only done in Japan, and let me tell ya what you see is what you get ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. A life sized figure would probably look creepy because it's expected to be real but you know it's not gonna be perfect… I could do with a little figurine of myself., that'd be neat.

Heck, Anthony, Trace, and Laci figurines would be pretty neat too.

  12. Eww. They do 3D ultra sounds now. Like, when all of us were fetuses, our mothers got these super blurry scans of us to show everyone and now looking at the ones pasted in my baby book i'm like, no, that looks like nothing. Now they can take 3D video of fetuses and you can UPLOAD THAT SHIT TO FACEBOOK. My cousin did it when she was pregnant. Waaaaaay creepy.

  13. Catch from 123D (which is free) can turn photos into a 3d-model. there you have your life-sized replica anthony ๐Ÿ˜‰
