  2. +Freesciencelessons    Sir, aren't you meant to know the menstrual cycle days such as what happens on day 14 or 28?

    So instead of learning:

    *FSH is secreted by the pituitary gland, and it causes the maturation of an egg in the ovaries, and it also stimulates the ovaries to produce oestrogen.*Oestrogen is secreted by the ovaries, and it inhibits further production of FSH so that only one egg matures in a cycle, and it also stimulates the pituitary gland to secrete the hormone LH. *LH is secreted by the pituitary gland and it causes the release of an egg from an ovary ready for fertilisation.

    We learn the day it actually happens?

  4. I am doing the edexcel IGCSE and I've never heard of FSH or LH…. Also the menstrual cycle starts with bleeding? I don't know if you can tell me if I need to know about FSH or LH?
