How to crochet Newborn baby bonnet 0-6M – boy or girl baby caps fast and easy – Crochet for Baby 199

hi everyone welcome to my channel crochet for baby thank you for watching and thank you for subscribing in today's tutorial I'm going to show you how to make this little bonnet for a baby from 0 to 3 months I made this little bonnet to match this little set I showed you how to make the little jacket with ruffles the little pants with ruffles and the little booties with ruffles I'll leave the links to these tutorials down here in the information box this one here you can also make for baby boy this is what it looks like in this light blue color the English tutorial this is the one that I made in the Spanish tutorial I made it with the pink yarn and that's what it looks like you can also make this little bonnet for a newborn all you have to do is just use a 3 millimeter crochet hook with light number 3 baby yarn and for a baby between three and six months just use a four point five millimeter crochet hook with light number three baby yarn one more thing this little bonnet is reversible this is what it looks like from one side and this is what it looks like from the other okay remember that I also have lots of other tutorials for baby bonnets already in my channel that's the number one request by a lot of my subscribers so I already have lots of them like this one here that I showed you a couple weeks ago this one here you can make it up to 4 years old I'll leave the link to this tutorial down here in the information box ok so without further so let's get started and thank you for watching ok to begin I'll be using this 3.5 millimeter crochet hook and today I'm using this light number 3 baby yarn I'm using the same yarn that I used to make the little cardigan the pins and all that baby set that I showed you at the beginning I'll leave a link down here in the information box to where you can purchase this yarn ok so to begin I'll make one chain and this chain is just to reinforce that one slip stitch that we have there that way it's not going to come undone now I'm going to chain 4 but the first chain you want to make sure that it's a bit bigger than normal so like that and now I'm going to chain 3 1 2 3 so in total I have 4 chains now all the stitches that we're going to do are going to go inside this first chain so beginning here we're going to make one double crochet so just insert your hook there into that first chain grab a loop and make a double crochet now chain to back again into that same chain go in and make two more double crochets one two again chain two and one more group of two double crochets now in total we're going to make 12 double crochets including the three chains there's one and two now if you have a hard time doing this like this you can also chain and an inside that loop do the same thing again chain to go back in and make one more group of two double crochets chained to one more group of two double crochets okay let's see how many groups we have we have one two three four five I need to make one more so far I have ten double crochets okay so we need 12 whoops don't forget to change to here and then one more group of two double crochets okay and there it is so I have six groups of two double crochets one two three four five six so in total 12 double crochets separated by two chains now to finish this row chain two and join to the top of the third chain here with a slip stitch okay and this is how we finish the first row now for the second row we're going to turn make a slip stitch into this chain two space here and now chain four and into the same stitch here make a double crochet now chain 1 and between these two double crochets right in the middle you're going to make a double crochet chain one inside the chain two space make a V stitch so double crochet chain one double crochet okay again chain one and between these two double crochets right there make one double crochet chain one don't forget to always chain one before we make the double crochet and after we make the double crochet we need these spaces in the next row now inside the next chain two space make a V stitch double crochet chain one double crochet chain one double crochet between the two double crochets chain one V stitch into the next chain to space double crochet chain one double crochet chain one double crochet between the two double crochets chain one V stitch inside the chain two space whoops chain one double crochet double crochet chain one double crochet between the two double crochets chain one V stitch inside the next two chains okay now here to finish I still have one more group of two double crochets so chain one inside this these two double crochets make a double crochet chain one now to finish go to the top of the third chain right here and make a slip stitch and this is how we finish the second row so in total let's see how many double crochets we have we have one this is the three chains counts as one double crochet so there's one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 double crochets total okay now what we're going to do is you're going to turn and we're going to make one two three four slip stitches so the first slip stitch is going to go here where we have this first chain the second slip stitch on top of the double crochet the third slip stitch inside the chain one space or just pinch one of the loops here right there and the next one on top of the double crochet and inside the chain one space of this first V stitch here okay now inside the V stitch now we're going to chain three then make a double crochet two chains two double crochets chain one and now we have this double crochet in the middle and then we have the V stitch so these double crochets that are right here right in between each V stitch you're going to work into a front post double crochet chain one again don't forget to chain one before the double crochet and after the double crochet we need those spaces in the next row and now inside the V stitch you're going to make two double crochets chain two two double crochets chain one then work a front post double crochet this double crochet in the middle between the two V stitches chain one inside the V stitch make a fan two double crochets chain two two double crochets chain1 front post double crochet chain one fan inside the v-stitch two double crochets two chains two double crochets okay chain one front post double crochet chain one fan inside the next V stitch two double crochets chain two two double crochets chain one front post double crochet chain one and a fin inside the next V stitch so two double crochets chain two two double crochets okay chain one and then we have this last double crochet so a front post double crochet chain one and to finish just go to the top of the third chain of these three chains we have and then make a slip stitch and this is how we finish this third row and this is what it looks like and that's the other side okay so now for the fourth row we're going to make a slip stitch into the next double crochet and a slip stitch inside the chain two space now chain three inside the same space here you're going to make two more double crochets so now these fans that we're going to make in this row are going to consist of three double crochets two chains three double crochets okay now chain one and again we have this double crochet make a front post double crochet chain one remember don't forget to make a chain here before you make the front post double crochet and after we need these spaces for the next row now inside this fan you're going to do now three double crochets one two three chain two three double crochets okay one more time chain one front post double crochet chain one and then make a fan inside this fan so two three double crochets that's two three chain two three double crochets now this is all I'm going to do all around so I'm not going to show you this part you're just going to continue in the same way okay so I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end of his fourth row now I did my last front post double crochet then chain one and now to finish just pinch the third chain here and make a slip stitch and this is how we finish the fourth row and this is what it looks like now for the fifth row we're going to make one two three slip stitches so go on top of the next double crochet and make a slip stitch a slip stitch on top of the next double crochet and inside the chain two space a slip stitch okay now inside the space here you're going to chain three and now inside the same space here we're going to make two more double crochets okay so in total with the three chains we have three double crochets chain one now in this row we're only going to chain one here because this is the last row so go back in and make three double crochets so these fans are going to consist now of three double crochets chain one three double crochets and now chain one now we have a chain one space we have the front post double crochet and a chain one space inside the chain one space go in and make a double crochet make this into a front post double crochet again and inside the next chain one space make a double crochet chain one okay so make sure you work this exactly the same way so chain one a double crochet where we have the chain one space front post double crochet a double crochet inside the chain one space and then chain one and now inside this fan here inside the chain two space you're going to make three double crochets chain one two double three double crochets pardon so three double crochets chain one three double crochets and there's the next fan so let me show you again chain one right here where we have the chain one space make a double crochet make this into a front post double crochet and a double crochet inside the next chain one space chain one and then into the next fan same thing three double crochets chain one three double crochets now this is all I'm going to do for this row so continue like this doing the exact same thing and I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end of this fifth row I did my last double crochet chain one now to finish this go here pinch the third chain at the top and make a slip stitch and this is how we finish this fifth row now for the next what we're going to do is we're going to make single crochets all around so we're going to chain one and turn now here we're going to make one single crochet on each one of these stitches beginning here this is a chain one space so make a single crochet on top of the double crochet make a single crochet single crochet on top of the next single crochet on top of the next and single crochet into this chain one space and now we're going to work these three double crochets so one single crochet on each now we're going to skip this chain one space and into the next double crochet you're going to make your single crochet we're going to do this so that this part here not now it starts to form into a circle and it's going to fold a little over so it's okay if it does this C like that now again we have the chain one space so make a single crochet and single crochet on top of each one of these three double crochets into the chain one space one single crochet and then one single crochet on each one of these three double crochets so 1 2 3 and then again skip the chain one space and work one single crochet into the next three double crochets now this is all I'm going to do so make sure you do the same and that's what it should look like I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end I did my last single crochet here now I'm going to go here where I have the chain that I did right there and make a slip stitch and this is how we finish this row of single crochets now for the next row what we're going to do is we're going to turn now we're going to work let's see about one two three four about five slip stitch so beginning here into this first stitch make a slip stitch a slip stitch into the next that's two three for and into the next a slip stitch right there okay so it'll put us right about here into this these two double crochets here of this fan see you right there now chain three and into the same stitch here make a double crochet now a double crochet on top of the next single crochet double crochet on top of the next and so on all we're going to do is make these double crochets on top of each one of these single crochets just like this now you're going to continue around like this until you come to this fan here right there and we're going to stop right around here we're going to leave these stitches in between for the back side of the baby bonnet so I'll meet you here to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end of this row of double crochets now up to here I have 53 double crochets so into the same stitch here I'm going to make one more double crochet so that's 54 double crochets now this part here we're going to leave alone for now we're going to finish this off after we finish the next part here so now with 54 double crochets what I'm going to do now is I'm going to chain three and turn I'm going to skip one two and into the third double crochet I'm going to make my first fan so these fans are going to consist of two double crochets chain one two double crochets okay now skip one two three and into the fourth double crochet make another fan so two double crochets chain one two double crochets okay one more time skip 1 2 3 and into the 4th double crochet make your next fin this is all I'm going to do all around so I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next ok I'm here at the end of this first row of fans now to finish I still have these last 3 double crochets so I'm going to skip 2 and into these 3 chains here I'm going to pinch the second chain and make 8 double crochet and this is how I finish this row of fans and I have a total of 13 fans all around now for the next row you're going to chain 3 and turn ok so now what we're going to do is inside each one of these fans you're going to do the exact same thing you're just going to make a fan of 2 double crochets chain one two double crochets you can even jump to the next fan and do the exact same thing this is how we're going to work the second row all around here at the end all you're going to do is make one double crochet at the end by pinching the second chain and then chain 3 and continue make the same row as we did on the second row we're going to do this for about 4 rows so I'll meet you at the end of the fourth row to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end of this fourth row so in total 8 that 4 rows of fans now I'm going to go into the second chain here at the end and make a double crochet and this is how we finish this fourth row now for the fifth row you're going to chain 3 and turn inside each one of these fans you're going to make 5 double crochets 1 2 3 4 5 this is all we're going to do for this row so jump to the next fan and make 5 double crochets continue like this I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next ok I'm here at the end of this row of fans we did 5 double crochets on each one of these fans now to finish I'm going to pinch here the second chain and make a double crochet here at the end and this is how I finish this fifth row now for this extra you're going to chain 3 and turn now between each one of these double crochets we're going to do the following we're going to go in and make eight double crochet between the first two chain one double crochet between the next two chain one double crochet between the next two chain one and double crochet between the next two okay and this is what we're going to do now jump to the next fan and do the same thing don't chain one here but just go in between the next two double crochets and make a double crochet now chain one between the next two double crochet chain one double crochet chain one double crochet okay and this is all we're going to do and this is what it should look like okay continue like this I'll meet you at the end right here to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end I did my last double crochet I'm not going to chain one or anything here at the end but just go into the second chain and make a double crochet and this is how we finish this row now for the next row we're going to chain one and turn on top of this first double crochet you're going to make a single crochet now chain two and into this first chain one space make a single crochet chain two single crochet into the next chain one space chain two single crochet into the next chain one space chain two now we have these two double crochets that separate each band so right in the middle you're also going to make a single crochet chain two single crochet chain two single crochet chain two single crochet chain two single crochet chain two single crochet now this is all we're going to do all around so continue like this I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end I did my last two chains and to finish just go into the second chain here that second chain and make a single crochet here at the end and this part here is done and that's what it looks like okay now what we're going to do next is I'm going to chain one and we're going to work single crochets here all around now to do that here what we're going to do is we have this last single crochet so just open that stitch there and make a single crochet right there okay and then we have the three chains in the double crochet inside each one of these spaces you're going to make two single crochets there's two one and two one and two and again two single crochets two single crochets and two single crochets okay now here what we're going to do is we have the these three chains here we're not going to do two single crochets there but rather which is going to go here to this next single crochet right there see here's the stitch where we did the three chains and the double crochet so here into this next single crochet down here we're going to make a double crochet so now here for this part we're just going to work double crochets okay so I have two three four five six seven eight 9 ten eleven 12 13 14 double crochets for this part here okay if you have 13 or 12 it doesn't matter it's okay just continue and do that this next part here so now we're going to go to the three chain space right here not the double crochet but to the top here and make two single crochets and now two single crochets here into each one of these stitches along the side now this part is the same thing we did on the other side just two single crochets here along the side okay this is my last stitch here and to finish one single crochet here at the end right there okay and this is how we finish this part here and this is what it looks like now we're going to chain three and turn we're going to skip this first single crochet and into the next make a double crochet chain one skip one single crochet in into the next double crochet chain one skip one single crochet and into the next double crochet chain one skip one single crochet and into the next double crochet chain one skip one single crochet and into the next double crochet chain one skip one single crochet and into the next double crochet chain one skip one single crochet and into the next double crochet this is all we're going to do here along this side and then along this part here and then again up this way so just skip one single crochet all the way to the top I'll meet you here at the end to show you what we need to do next okay I'm here at the end now one thing here if you have the same problem as I did when I came here to the top after I skipped one single crochet in this case there were double crochets I think I said single crochets but you skipped one double crochet and then chain one on the top but anyways my last double crochet was actually here so I still had this one here at the end so what I did is I went back and undid these double crochets so here into this part here I did double crochet chain one and then I didn't skip one double crochet but rather just made one into the next one and then continue along with the same thing skip one and into the next double crochet and so on so now here at the end chain one and finish this rope by making my last double crochet here into this very corner stitch right there okay so now what we're going to do is and this is what it looks like so far okay so now what we're going to do next is we're going to chain 1 and turn on top of this first double crochet make a single crochet chain two single crochet inside the chain one space chain two single crochet inside the next chain one space chain two single crochet now this is all I'm going to do until I come here to this other end so I'll meet you here to show you now what the finished bonnet looks like since this is going to be the last row so I'll meet you here to show you that part next okay I'm here at the end now chain two here at the end and pinch the second chain here and make a single crochet cut your yarn and then just pass your yarn through that last loop and this part here is done now just hide your remaining yarn and it's done now my baby bonnet is done and I've also added a little ribbon and that's what it looks like my baby bonnet is all done I also did the exact same bonnet in this color pink and that's what it looks like if you're making it for a little boy this is what it would look like if you'd use blue yarn and I think it would make a great baby bonnet for boys as well now this bonnet here is reversible this is what it looks like from this side here this is where we did the front post double crochets and this is the other side okay so my baby bonnet is done so thank you so much for watching I hope you like it until next time you
