Kate Middleton Pregnancy Shock as She Pulls Out of Engagement. Her last minute cancelation prompts speculation she could be expecting. When Kate Middleton didn’t attend the Tusk Conservation Awards gala with Prince William on Thursday, royal fans began to speculate whether she was pregnant. The Duchess of Cambridge pulled out of the event “due to the children”, according to PEOPLE magazine. “The Duchess is no longer able to attend the Tusk awards due to the children,” a spokesman for Kensington Palace told the publication. “She will still, however, meet finalists at a tea at Kensington Palace this afternoon. The Duke as patron will attend both.” The news initially sparked fears about the health of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, according to Express, with one Twitter user writing, “Kate Middleton will not attend awards ‘due to the children,’ I hope all of them are okay.” Fans also hypothesised that the royal couple is expecting. One user tweeted, “This is quite odd, I hope nothing serious, just hoping Kate might be pregnant, that would be lovely!!!” while another put: “Maybe she’s pregnant and has that crippling morning sickness again?” It’s unusual for Kate to miss a royal engagement and on the occasions she has, it has often been due to suffering severe morning sickness while pregnant. For example, she had to miss Prince George’s first day of school while battling with hyperemesis gravidarum when pregnant with Prince Louis in September 2017. When she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte, she was unable to attend several events for the same reason. Amid mounting speculation the royal couple is expecting their fourth child, odds on William and Kate announcing a pregnancy towards the end of the year have been slashed. Bookmakers Ladbrokes currently have the Duchess of Cambridge at 4/1 to announce baby news before the year is over. Kate ‘would love’ to have fourth baby. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis might be getting another sibling! Kate Middleton and Prince William may be adding to their family in the near future. A royal insider told Us Weekly that the Duchess of Cambridge “would love to have one more child.” The source added that the royal couple has enjoyed watching Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis grow up together. “They love playing together and being creative,” the insider told the publication. “Painting, baking and building things are all activities they enjoy, and now that Louis’ a bit older, he gets involved too.” However, the children have their moments. The source added that William and Kate’s children do bicker and that it’s “usually over silly things like toys or what TV shows they want to watch.” “But most of the time they get on.” Royal fans will know that each of the royal children has very distinct personalities – a fact that isn’t lost on their parents either. In fact, the royal insider told Us Weekly that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have enjoyed watching. “Charlotte’s extremely confident and loves attention, whereas George is more reserved, although he is starting to come out of his shell,” the source said. “George is always looking out for his younger brother and sister and is already showing traits of making an excellent leader.” Prince Louis is said to be a “really mommy’s boy.” Recent photos of Kate in Pakistan show the Duchess sporting a small bump, sparking rumours she may already be pregnant. What’s more, Kate showed off her maternal side when she visited a college for girls in Islamabad. The duchess spent time chatting and laughing with the school children and was clearly in her element, suggesting she could be feeling clucky. Further adding to speculation that Kate is expecting her fourth child is the fact that the couple took a doctor on tour with them for the first time. A medic friend of William’s from his time working with the East Anglian Air Ambulance was included in their entourage. Given Kate’s history of hyperemesis gravidarum in the early stages of pregnancy, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the couple wanted the peace of mind of having a medic on hand.
