– Delivery, when we see a pregnant lady, we say that their due date
is at 40 weeks pregnant. So that is they’re considered when they’re supposed to be delivered by. An infant is considered
full term at 37 weeks. So any time between 37 to 40 is an adequate time for delivery. You notice that more for first
time mothers that they take longer for their body to realize what’s happening and to go
through this labor process. And so they end up, you know,
going past their due date. Once a woman gets to
about 41 weeks pregnant, the physician will have a
conversation with the patient, and obviously, recommend
inducing her labor.
