30 Replies to “The Pro-Life Case Against Abortion (Lila Rose Full Interview)”

  1. How do you live with yourself after you kill your baby so many women get abortions that I know and then they're depressed for years in the Bible it says I knew you the moment you were conceived 🌕

  2. Thank you Lila Rose for standing up for every human life!! You are misinformed on the 3/5 person (slavery)in the US Constitution, our Founding Fathers had great discussions/debates on slavery. The northern states were against it but the some of the southern states where for it,.. , so much that a few of southern states would not sign the US Constitution unless slavery. In order to get a US Constitution sadly they had to compromise slavery to save the young country against the British. Non slavery states were very concerned about slaves voting for their masters, which meant the slavery states could out vote the non slave states easily. So to protect the non slavery states, they added the 3/5s deal. Look it up.

  3. I disagree with Dave on nearly every issue but I respect him incredibly for having meaningful conversations with those who have differing views. Thanks for doing this, Dave Rubin.

  4. Dialogue like this is vitally important. It is the loss of this civilized communication between individuals and communities that has led to the polarization we see in our country today.

  5. it is 21 century, I simply cannot understand how some people think so called "fetus" is not a child. it is like believing earth is flat. lol
regarding the line when humans become humans – why not push it the other way? human is not a human unless it can solve algebraic equations – this is something that differentiates us from animals. so let's abort people who dont know what is square root of 4. Do you know the answer?
Because it is 2 and -2 🙂 BANG, you are dead!

  6. My question is then: what is considered “life”? Is it the ability to breathe individually? Because I’m for abortion and I value life but my perspective on what I consider “alive” is different. I am very thankful for this podcast though👍

  7. Life begins at conception. Any other time period is an arbitrary and philosophical attempt to skew the issue for the sole purpose of trying to justify killing these babies with impunity. If you were not specifically trying to create a way to justify killing an innocent human, you would never even consider anything other than the actual beginning, which is conception, to be the beginning. You can't have a '3 weeks later' without having an actual beginning '3 weeks earlier.' The beginning is the beginning. The conceived baby is 100% human and 100% alive, growing and developing as its body self directs, at each new stage (which continues into adulthood). Killing others is not 'choice.' Contraception comes before pregnancy, not after. Abortion doesn't add to women's rights. Women still have the right to determine what goes into their bodies, without abortion. Abortion is about taking away rights. Taking away the right to life from another human being. With freedom comes responsibility. We are responsible to not use our freedoms to harm others and we are responsible to conduct ourselves in whatever manner comports with our desire to be or not be pregnant. You cannot engage in the ONE activity specifically DESIGNED to create a baby and cry foul when you actually become pregnant.  Society must take account of the rights of both the woman and the baby. To say that only ONE of them has rights is unjust.

  8. 10:50 Life begins at conception.

“Human development begins at fertilization, the process during which a male gamete or sperm (spermatozoo developmentn) unites with a female gamete or oocyte (ovum) to form a single cell called a zygote. This highly specialized, totipotent cell marked the beginning of each of us as a unique individual.”
“A zygote is the beginning of a new human being (i.e., an embryo).”
Keith L. Moore, The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology, 7th edition. Philadelphia, PA: Saunders, 2003. pp. 16, 2.

  9. 1. Murder is the intentional killing of a human being.

    2. Abortion is the deliberate killing of a human being.*

    3. Abortion is murder.

"*Philosophicalally, there is no morally significant difference between the embryo you once were and the adult you are today. As Stephen Schwartz points out using the acronym S.L. E.D, differences in size, level of development, environment, and degree of dependency are not relevant in the way that abortion advocates need them to be.

Are larger people more human than smaller ones?
Men are generally larger than women, but that doesn't mean they deserve more rights.

True, embryos and fetuses are less developed than you and I.
But, again, why is this relevant? Four year old girls are less developed than fourteen year old ones.
Should older children have more rights than their younger siblings?

Some people say that self awareness makes one human. But, if that is true, newborns do not qualify as valuable human beings.
Remember, six week old infants lack the immediate capacity for performing human mental functions, as do the reversably comatose , the sleeping, and those with Alzheimer's disease.

Where you are has no bearing on who you are.
How can a journey of eight inches down the birth canal suddenly change the essential nature of the unborn from non-human to human?
If the unborn are not already human, merely changing their location can't make them valuable.

If viability makes us valuable human beings, then all those who depend on insulin or kidney medication are not valuable, and we may kill them."

  10. Dave, hopefully you see this, but David Boonin is actually a very nice man who is one of the most intelligent pro-choice thinkers these days. I personally don't believe his stances hold up against scrutiny (see his debate with Trent Horn for example), however he is a very kind man that never does personal attacks.

That being said…he doesn't hold nearly any of the current mainstream positions on abortion. He actually freely admits that the unborn are human beings, but rather contends that people aren't people until sentience, and that a person is not legally required to keep another person alive against their will (McFall versus Shimp). It'd probably be better to get someone who argues in favor of what we always hear in the media, but he's the only one that comes to mind when thinking about someone who could have a kind conversations about this topic.

    Love the show!

  11. I'm pro life . All babies matter . They deserve a chance to be just like you and me . Lila is a wonderful person. God bless her!

  12. Good thing she stopped herself from saying the first line of the Hippocratic oath is do no harm. The actual first line was pledging supremacy to Apollo. Lol

  13. "Is it always wrong to inrentionally take another nnocents humans life?" Nope, call me a freak, i will not lay guilt in the hands of soldiers doing there duty in the name of war.

  14. This "begrudgingly pro-choice" guy doesnt disagree with her the whole time, softball interview at most with fake news mixed in. The fact is, sperm is also life but it isnt a person. Dead people have tons of life still inside them for a long time, but they dont get human rights anymore. The edges of humanity are brutal and women are the gatekeepers to choose who gets to be born. Nearly half of fetuses will be miscarried, at least 20% that need a procedure to remove the dead fetus. Its not a child until it is born. Stop👏trying👏to👏control👏women👏.

  15. Our priests need to speak up about abortion and marriage. Pray for our priests that they may find the courage to speak about these things boldly

  16. So to follow the pro-abortion "Hands off my body!" slogan, this would be… a woman demanding that Dave put his hands on her body and him, as a gay man, adamantly refusing.

  17. About the hippocratic oath – you wouldn't want it to be in action nowadays. (Chirurgeons wouldn't be allowed to remove your appendix cause thats what stone cutters do) The reason why doctors were not allowed to do abortions was not because of the child but because it was risky business and yknow shouldn't fail as a doctor. Also fetuses were thought of equal to plants, even in church lmao. It was all about the mother back then. Just for a bit of context here

  18. I am pro-choice, but i do happen to live in a country where the cutoff is set at 12 weeks, (you can apply for later abortion under certain circumstances) I am not of the opinion that a 12 week fetus is a person yet.

  19. Dave. think of it this way. it's easier to kill a baby you can't see than to kill one you can see. i think people use this to blind themselves, but that's just my opinion 🙂

  20. I NEVER see the fact that so many women are having irresponsible, unprotected sex in non-monogamous relationships discussed, when a majority of pregnancies are a result of such flings. Women have ALL of the control BEFORE they get pregnant. Once they are pregnant, their "partners" should have equal representation as well. After all, if a woman chooses to have a baby, the man is deemed financially responsible.

  21. As always, I love that Dave can have calm, respectful conversations and find some common ground. It’s great that he brings people on the show with whom he disagrees.

I do think he could have prepared better for this conversation. For example, does he really believe there are no situations where the taking of a life is justified? I don’t think he does, but perhaps he wanted to save time. Does he really think that two cells are all that’s necessary to define human life? One cell? What’s the difference between getting your ear pierced and murder, from that perspective? I think that Ms. Rose was given easy questions with pat responses, and the way that she quickly ran from questions about maternal health and science only reinforce my doubt that she has thought as deeply about her position as she publicly claims.

  22. 2016: Larry Elder red pills Dave Rubin on race issues.
2019: Lila Rose red pills Dave Rubin on abortion.
2022: Ryan T. Anderson red pills Dave Rubin on gay "marriage".

  23. Many years ago I was a counselor for a crisis pregnancy hotline. A young woman was pregnant and decided to let her child live. She got pregnant a second time by the same man, still not married. She decided to kill her 2nd child. I offered up the option of adoption. She said to me, 'If I can't keep it, I don't want anyone else to have it.' That's an example why abortion should not be legal. That baby did not deserve death.
