you are in for a real treat today today we will be talking about pollination on tonight’s show we will be talking about pollination it’s really quite simple pollination is just a process a process where pollen is transferred from the male part of the plant to the female part of the plant so plants have both male and female parts exactly yes the male part of the plant is called the anther and the female part is called the stigma and so the pollen is moved from the male part to the female part this movement of pollen from one part of the plant to the other is called fertilization and thoughts just a fancy way of saying forming a baby plant that we call a seedling intriguing so pollination is really just moving pollen from the male part of a flower to the female part of the plant and this whole process forms a baby plant let’s take a look at the actual process [Music] pollination [Music] plants stay in one place though they might grow and spread so how do they reproduce how do we get baby plants well insects like bees and butterflies and animals like birds as well as the wind take pollen from one plant to another this is how plants make seeds and we call this process pollination you
